Jason's Birthday

As mentioned in a previous post, Jason did not feel the best on his actual birthday because he got his trach changed out the day before and was started on some antibiotics. LESSON LEARNED-if an event is coming up, we need to schedule a week early or a week late. We had planned on going to a movie, but watched a movie at home instead. It was more relaxing this way anyway!

Like last year, we had a big weekend planned.

Last year, 4 of Jason's friends surprised him by flying in. They also came in March of this year and managed to do it for his birthday again. Adie and Steve flew from Maine. Nate and Casey flew from Arizona for a long weekend. These guys have wives, kids, jobs.... This is the 3rd time they have put all of that aside and arranged coming to spend a weekend with us.

The majority of the weekend is sports and fun, but we did get the guys to clean up some leaves and fire pit area. Nate also fixed a screen door and wood board on our deck. For the first time in a year, we got to have a fire out back while watching tree-V (TV mounted in a tree by the fire pit!) And these guys cooked-and grilled-a good treat for me!
