Read me, then forgive me

We know that so many people read our blogs when we post to Facebook, so I apologize in advance for using that to our advantage to rally as the team captain to fundraise for JJJourney Atlanta 2017 Walk to Defeat ALS.

I've included a personal story at the bottom from Jason in here for your reading pleasure.....just to keep you interested!

Who has one of these?

NO! Not a Lulu's fishbowl from Fort Lauderdale, Florida that I am positive held LEMONADE (I just love this emoji!) But a big container of loose change?

I cashed the majority of ours in to make a self donation just the other day. During a lunch break in the next few weeks, cash in your change and pick a team mate to donate to. It won't take long, deposit it right into the bank, then go online to pick a team member.

Disclaimer #1-I used Walmart. I do not particularly like Walmart, but was told they had a change machine. I stood there looking at the amount they took away for a good 5 minutes thinking about other options. We both have credit unions in our respective home states that exchange change FOR FREE, but we are in Georgia. Our bank here doesn't have one of those :/ So in those 5 minutes, other options were to buy coin wrappers for deposit, give up on the idea, or just pay Walmart to do it quickly during the limited time that I wanted to spend in that store. I made a self donation in the full amount of $79.91 just to spite Walmart. That $9.51 saved me so much time in wrapping the coins though....and the cost of buying the wrappers.

Disclaimer #2-I just donated to my page and not Jason's, even though it was shared change. He is winning, so I felt he would be fine! He always wins, even when he doesn't try.

Here is the link again!

Please help us out!

You won't even notice a penny missing!

We have personally benefited from the Association in many ways, including getting a grant this year for funds and using the Sally Panfel program so that I can have respite for a few hours every week.

The real Lulu's in Fort Lauderdale story:

Jason went down to Florida for Thanksgiving in 2009 to visit Tim. They went out to a beach restaurant and he said the fishbowl had a mixed drink it in. He shared it with Tim's room mate. Shout out to Lauren and Tim!!!
