On Friday, July 14, a group came together to see us at Tiara's new house in Windham! Tiara, Shawn, and Clay entertained us in their new house with hotdogs and burgers, sides, and a great location. Tim and Nicole made it back from their yearly summer trip to Europe. Cassie, Tom, and their 2 boys drove to see us, while Cassie doing her usual brought pictures from middle and high school to share. Adie made it after work for a few hours too. How sweet to plan an event to see us while we were in Maine. Everyone has made the effort to come to GA to see us, but it was great to see/meet and hang out with the kids!

None of the pictures are perfect, and none include the kids, but all of them are hilarious. Clay has a lot of dress up clothes, and it was someone's idea to put on these hats/dress up-I really don't remember who!

WOW!

On Saturday, July 15, Jason's mom planned a cookout to thank Mike and Tim for building the ramps seen in the July 8th post. Mike, Shelby, Tim, Nicole, Adie and Steve all came over to have a few beers and catch up. They did a wonderful job making us never have to worry about accessibly to the house while hopefully maintaining our ability to travel "home."

On Sunday, July 16, Derrick and Suzanne Roma along with their 2 amazing kids stopped by on their way home from a family trip to Acadia-a 5+ hour trip with a 2 year old and 6-month old, and they still visited for a few hours! How much fun to see Walter again-that personality he has can make anyone smile....and to meet baby Arden! It was Derrick, many months ago, that put the thought in our heads to share in our experience and to find a way for others to give to us. This started the process of this blog and is how setting up GoFundMe started, which has been crucial to us being comfortable and low in stress in that department. Suzanne also gave good advice to look for support in grants at our next doctor's appointment. So thankful that they are thinking of us on the financial side and wanting to know what it going on.

Sunday night, we went and watched another NASCAR race at Adie's house. It was a busy weekend!

I also got to go to Muse Painting in Portland to do another painting. What a nice break to do something for myself! I do not know these two people, but they kept me pretty entertained! One of the girls was visiting from Canada. I really need to start buying my own painting supplies!

Sadly, we never got a picture with us and Emma, Diana and Jude racing around the cul-de-sac. Sometimes, these moments cannot be recreated with a picture! We did get to spend a lot of time with Jason's parents. We saw Emma and Jen many times and Mike made sure to see us while in Maine too!

We left to start the trip back on Thursday, July 20. We spent 2 days driving back to NC stopping overnight in Wilmington, DE. Diana packed me supper and Jason and I made it in plenty of time to watch my summer favorite Big Brother. One of the things Jason does to take care of me is entertain the fact that I really want to watch these shows (Survivor and Big Brother) that he cares nothing about. He knows the things that makes me happy and makes sure to let me watch. And, please don't be too jealous of my iphone picture skills!

Big Brother, Jackson, and supper

We spent the weekend in NC visiting my family, or I should say that so many people came to visit us! My sister had a baby shower for our first nephew on Saturday. We saw all of my grandparents, my brother, sister, nieces, brother in law, my Daddy, an aunt, uncle, cousins....so thankful my Mama is OK with opening her house up for a few days to make sure everyone that wants to come can. My step daddy, Dale, took me on a lunch date on Monday too, just to make me feel special!

We headed back to GA on Tuesday, July 25. We stopped half way for about an hour to see friends that just closed on a house in Gastonia on the 21st! Congrats to Daniel, Karen, and Camila.
