Our new RIDES

It's been months in the making, but we finally have new transportation that will open up a lot of possibilities for us! On Friday, March 10, Jason's fancy power wheelchair was delivered and set up from Permobil. On Friday, March 17, the side entry conversion of our van was completed at AMS vans. On Monday, March 20, the pin was placed in the van so that Jason can drive right in, be locked down, and ride shotgun. :)

Although mentioned in previous blogs, we have to say THANK YOU again to everyone-family, friends, coworkers, neighbors-for all of your help. You did not just donate money to help us buy this van. You have provided us piece of mind, provided me with the ability to continue staying at home, provided us opportunities with mobility that has been taken away from Jason with this disease. I had a recent texting conversation with a friend and used the phrase "in debt with gratitude" for all the love and kindness. My mom warned me in the very beginning that I would need to gain the ability to just accept such love and kindness, and we have. People continue to surprise us with help making payments in the form of donations and using their talents (most recently, my Mama is making quilts and auctioning them off-see my shares on Facebook!) to help raise money. There are no words to express our gratitude and love for you all.

As our friend Cameron says, we now have a "swagger wagon" (we just lack the kids in the video!) We fully plan to deck out our Sienna with obnoxious stickers as well-see examples below.

Definitely needs a name!

JUST KIDDING----it won't be this bad ;)
