Jason: On Sunday, February 26, a bunch of my colleagues organized a work day at our house. They asked us ahead of time to come up with a list of projects that they could help with. Being as we have lawn services, most of the projects we set up for them were projects that were not included with the lawn service, such as tree trimming, tree removal, flower bed construction, etc. They also had purchased multiple ramps to be installed that would allow me to use my backyard and deck with my power wheelchair. They arrived around 10am and worked until around 4pm. The amount they accomplished was quite staggering and can be seen in detail in the slide show. Carlos and Mike installed the ramps. Joe, Ben, Devin, Wes and many others throughout the day focused on tree removal (and subsequent shed repair). Ande and Mindy built the flower bed out front, cleaned up our gardens, and cut branches. Nick sprayed weed killer, cleaned the gutters, helped with tree removal, and did some work on my current borrowed wheelchair. Bert fixed one of the existing flower beds, helped with tree removal, and did work on the wheelchair. Canyon power washed two sides of our house. Thank you for everyone for all your help. It was great to have everyone over for the day.

Elizabeth: It is truly AMAZING how a group of people can love and support you so much. To organize and give a whole day to a coworker is unbelievable. THANK YOU to Jeff Wilkins for donating the ramps, to Carlos and Ande for setting this all up, and for the team that gave your time, knowledge, and help to make our house more ready than ever for Jason. At the beginning of February, they surprised us by raising funds for our van as well-donations from nearly 150 people in the Woodard and Curran group, venders, contracters, and those with connections to W&C. Family is generally defined as a social unit made up of children and parents. It does not usually consist of the group you work with. We consider this group family, and Carlos summed it up best when he said "For me, this is what we are supposed to do, it takes a village! We will always be there for everyone!"
