With thoughts of Valentine's Day....
Jackson got a prize in the mail-see the end of this post! BUT, the importance of that prize cannot be explained until you read Jason and Jackson's story. I got Jackson back in October 2007. Jason and I met in August 2011. When Jason would visit me, Jackson would allow Jason's love when I was in the room. Otherwise, (for example, when I went to the bathroom) Jackson would sit outside the bathroom door staring at Jason from a distance. This changed when Jason flew to San Antonio at the end of a travel assignment (August 2012) to make the drive with me from S.A. to Atlanta. There was definitely a difference with Jackson knowing Jason would be around for the long haul. When the three of us went paddle boarding on Ladybird Lake in Austin, TX, Jackson would not stay with me or stay with Jason. He kept jumping off the paddle boards and swimming back and forth between us. When we got to Atlanta, I wanted to spend a few days with family in NC, so I left Jackson with Jason while I was gone. After this, I was no longer Jackson's favorite. If you ask anyone who Jackson belonged to first, they will always say Jason. I have more pictures of the 2 of them than you can imagine--I've put a few from the past 5 years here!
Back at the beginning of February, Jason gave me a lesson in grilling (one of many), but I had to pay attention this time because he loves steaks. We got an Omaha steak delivery for Christmas from Katy and Steven Walton and decided to grill a few for dinner! When grilling, Jackson thinks our purpose for being outside is to play ball. He also prefers Jason to throw-I am apparently not good enough. We went out there in the borrowed power wheelchair and Jackson broke our hearts by continuously bringing Jason the ball, which he cannot throw. He would shove it all around the wheelchair. We told a few people about this experience, and his Aunt Amber sent him a iFetch! Next time we grill steaks, and after Jackson learns how to use it, we will just put the iFetch at Jason's feet :)

(side note-garage sweeping in the near future!)
