My job

About one month ago, December 29, 2016 was my last day working away from home. Jason had a bad fall on the day we flew to Maine for Christmas while I was at work. What I came home to was scary-a cut anywhere on the head bleeds a lot-yikes! (you can see his eye in the Maine Christmas picture) We barely made our flight and over the holidays, we made the decision that I should really be home.

I am a nurse, so I've always worked at a hospital or clinic doing patient care, whether bedside or outpatient. I love my work family. They were there for me throughout this past year, they were a sounding board, they understood what was happening at home. They were amazing AND this is my career. I've been a nurse for 9 years and developed quite the resume. It was hard to leave and sad, but also one of the easiest decisions I've made. There are at home jobs for nurses, and I'm looking into them. I mean, I could be the person you contact on the poison control line, if I choose that path!

The past few weeks have been amazing. We are spending a lot of time together. We are getting outside, we are getting the meals and calories in, I do not feel absolutely exhausted. Basically, I feel adequate as a caregiver and wife. We have never watched a lot of TV (well-Jason LIVES on sports), but friends gave us their Netflix password and we got a gift card from other friends to do Netflix. This being said, we have enjoyed a lot of relax time during this time as well.

SORRY-I had too :)
