Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving, we drove to Tarboro, North Carolina to spend time with Liz's family. The pictures are from her Mom's house. We did go see her Dad too, but no pictures were taken. We brought back so many frozen crock pot meals that her mom had prepared to help us at home.

While there, we picked up Liz's bridal portrait, framed by Sutton's Framing and Gallery, which is owned by her cousin, Ashley. This picture does NOT do it justice.

Then on the way back, we had a Friendsgiving in Wake Forest, NC at Bonnie and Jonathan's house.

Abigail, Liz's niece, and her mom helped make sweet potato casserole for the Friendsgiving.

Christmas

The weekend before Christmas, we drove to North Carolina again to spend time with Liz's family. We are borrowing a power wheelchair from her Grandmother until mine can be built, just in case.

For the weekend of Christmas, we flew to Maine to celebrate with my family and stayed until the day after Christmas.

My parents flew to Atlanta to spend a week with us from December 27-January 1. Mom and Dad helped out so much while here. Mom cooked and made many meals to freeze, including chicken noodle soup, lasagna, and meatballs for us to use later. Dad cleaned my car and cleaned up leaves from the back yard. We had a great New Year's Eve dinner of steak and potatoes (and a gift from a coworker of very nice wine) I also got to get out of the house and use that power wheelchair to walk around the neighborhood with Jackson and Liz.

ALS related (written by Liz): My grandmother and Jason have mobility issues, so my parents installed a wheelchair accessible ramp at their house. Also, my mom lifted a recliner on risers in the house to help us out! At Jason's house for Christmas, they changed out the office downstairs and made it into a bedroom for us. Winter in Maine=snow and ice, so they made sure everything was shoveled and salted. Jamie took me out to get my nails done while Jason watched football with Adie-what a great surprise and treat!
