Framily Mountain Trip

Winston and Jackson missed the group picture!

A couple times a year, we go on a group trip with this group of friends. This is out 3rd year staying at this house, so it is basically home! (2013, 2015, 2017)

This year, we all traveled quite a ways to get to Banner Elk, North Carolina. Hillary flew from Houston. Katie drove from Jacksonville, Florida with her kids, Brody and Caroline. Jason and I drove from Sugar Hill. Daniel and Karen drove from Gastonia, NC. Amber, Cameron, Katy, and Steven drove from Greensboro, NC. It was not our typical "ski trip" weekend as the temperatures were in the 50s and no snow. But let's be honest-we haven't actually done the skiing part in years. It is a lot of catching up, cooking good food, and hanging out. Jason, Jackson, and I had a few days away from home to relax and loved every minute.

ALS related: It was trouble getting into the house with the steps. A guy doing some heater work helped Jason get in, as we were the first couple there. We cannot lay on the floor to do arm exercises at home, so being able to do so with extra help is awesome. I got extra calories in Jason by having Caroline go give Jason chocolate a few times, and with her crush on Jason, she was happy to do so ;)
