September Emory Appointment

The appointment in September was a 3 month appointment with Dr. Glass' nurse practitioner, Annie. They checked breathing and just wanted to see what I needed. It was pretty uneventful. My breathing was at 92% capacity for "normal" people my age. Weight was also within 5% of baseline, but we did buy a scale for our bathroom. Important things they mention is to not fall (injuries are hard to fix when function decreases) and to maintain weight. Lots of peanut butter, calories, and Liz makes fruit smoothies. I do fall when losing my balance. I've had no injuries and I seem to trip over something, like a door jam, my own foot, or something on the floor. I tripped over our dog, Jackson once too. I got a brace for right foot at least a month ago, but during this appointment, I will be set up for a brace for the left foot soon. The braces just go in my shoes because I don't have full motion of my toes (ie pointing my toes up). My right hand does not really function well. I eat, write, drive, etc left handed. Liz says my writing is actually better left handed. I have no issues with grilling out, but Liz will always be out in the yard while I'm cutting grass and all. She does yard work with me-I used to do the yard work on weekends while she did stuff in the house, but we do more of a teamwork approach now.
